What's New

May of 2008 -- Stumptown was a thrilling festival, especially considering the debut of the TFC's latest work--The Clockmaker's Joy. Meanwhile, work continues on the other two additions to this trine of cautionary tales.

April of 2008 -- With Stumptown quickly approaching, the Fine Chaps fiercely stoke the embers of creativity for a triad of mysterious, marvelous picture pop-up books. Catch a glimpse to the left...

March of 2008 -- We've written, drawn, and begun printing the second installment in our Extreme Adventures of Brad and Chad. Look to the Projects page for more info.

February of 2008 -- To celebrate our inaugural presence at SF's Wondercon, we are pleased to introduce the official TFC FanClub FunPack, chock-full of activities, puzzles and gags featuring the complete roster of TFC characters.

January of 2008 -- Work has begun on a children's fable that follows a lost boy through the topsy-turvy world of Old San Francisco after the Great Earthquake and Fire of 1906. Whet your whistle for a moment with this picture.

September of 2007 -- The San Francisco Zine Fest was a brilliant time. We met many ambitious artists and zinesters, and figured it's high time we implement a Links page on our site.

July of 2007 -- We've wiled away this first part of the summer illustrating a project for the writer Adam Nemett in preparations for the San Diego Comicon at the end of the month.

June of 2007 -- Untold time lost to reverie.

May of 2007 -- APE was a grand success and a source of inspiration. Check out this review of the proceedings. Also, we have our newest work up for sale on the wares page.

April of 2007 -- In anticipation of the quickly-approaching Alternative Press Expo the Two Fine Chaps are just now executing - probably even as you read this - the final touches on two brand new illustrated works, both of which are handsome examples of the finest in letterpress printing. Keep a weather eye open for new updates.

February of 2007 -- Much time and energy lost to an infestation of fruit flies. Early reports confirm that our troops are giving it their best.

The Ancient Plowman

January of 2007 -- The temperatures outside have plummeted, but here in the TFC Workshop of Wonders our forges stay aflame night and day. Among other things, look for new Horticulturist pages.

December of 2006 -- We've been working rather steadily over the past months on our latest story, tentatively entitled The Horticulturist. In addition, as a somewhat excessive side project, we've turned our pens to our childhood memories, the inspiration behind the forthcoming Brad Prays to God and its companion story, Chad Draws Some Pictures.

September of 2006 -- Having written the first short story in our planned collection, we have now started the much more enjoyable process of drawing the pages. For more about these stories, you might peruse our Projects page.

August of 2006 -- We have begun work on our next project: a collection of short stories that will be published serially in three parts.

July of 2006 -- The TFC Workshop has relocated to the heart of San Francisco, on the cusp of a quaint little neighborhood known as the Tenderloin. This dramatic change in both Scenery and pace of living will surely spark our creative output.

June of 2006 -- After a little over a year of off-and-on work we have just recently completed the Inaugural publication under the Two Fine Chaps imprint. This handsome, folio-sized edition--part one of our Beowulf: A Graphic-Novel Translation--comes in an edition of 250. You can find information about this project here. As for the methods required to purchase a copy of said work, well, you should go to the Wares page. Post haste!
